In the weekly issue of NoCodeDevs, we're covering what has been happening in the no code community. This past week, new apps were released, tutorials were made, and the no code community discusses product pricing.

1.

Last week was all about Hey, a new type of email that puts the user in control of whether they get emails from someone or not. It made a big splash with many in the no code community viying for an invite. Unfortunately, it's pricing model of $99 a year caused quite a stir.

Sako (@SarkisBuniatyan) said, "why don't I rebuild hey.com in Webflow for you without the weird pricing."

Noah Raskin (@noahraskin_) said, "No plans on even giving users a limited amount of emails to use (like up to 3 address for example). I personally don't use just one email and I don't know anyone else who does I think. Bummer, it'd be nice to use."

Quentin Villard (quentinvllrd) Tweeted, "Ok so, now that many of us have tested it, who's willing to actually pay for HEY?"

Lessons learned from this product launch? Be upfront about pricing. Even if your product has cool, new features, people won't commit if pricing is off. Consider giving a longer free period of a product to get active users if you're unsure on pricing. Makers want to start earning off their products right away but sometimes the best way to do that is build an audience while you figure out the best pricing scenarios.
